Welcome to The Mouse-Eye View!
This blog is the official development journal for my newest creative project, an interactive animated movie/game called "The Whole Wide World". It’s a story I’ve been shaping for half a year - a blend of childhood wonder, mouse‑scale adventure, and the kind of emotional storytelling I grew up loving in films by Spielberg, Disney, Don Bluth, and the classic American Tail series.
Here, I’ll be sharing the journey as it unfolds:
• early concept art and character designs
• worldbuilding notes from Oak Gardens, MA (circa 1992)
• inspirations from movies, music, and animation
• behind‑the‑scenes thoughts from my creator’s diary
• updates on the branching story paths and interactive structure
At the heart of this project is a group of six young mouse heroes - tiny kids navigating a big, complicated world - and the adventure that pulls them together. Inspired by works such as "Goonies", "Stranger Things" and even Stephen King's "Stand By Me" with a whole lot of heart.
This blog will grow as the project grows. For now, it’s a place to document the process, share discoveries, and invite anyone who’s curious to follow along as "The Whole Wide World" comes to life.
Thanks for stopping by - and welcome to the adventure.
